- Locate the main menu; it’s aligned horizontally at the top of the web page. Click on "QUOTE"
- Click on desired quote type (Homeowners, Dwelling, …)
- Click on "NEW QUOTE"

How to Make Changes to a Quote/Policy
FROM THE HOME PAGE
- Located on the main menu
- Select Quote/Policy
- Select the Product of your choice. (ex: Homeowners)
- Click on Quote/Policy that you desire
- Read the Underwriting Guidelines
- Select "AGREE" and click "CONTINUE"
- Step 1 of the Transaction Information; choose "CHANGE" in the drop-down menu.
- Input "Transaction Effective Date" (date has to be between the current policy effetive date and policy expiration date)
- Finish the form
- Select "CONTINUE"

How to Find or Search for a Quote/Policy
FROM THE HOME PAGE
- Locate on the main menu
- Located the main menu
- Select Quote/Policy
- Select the product of your choice. (ex: Homeowners)
- Input the reference number, name, or address of your Quote/Policy and select "SEARCH".
- Search results will appear on the right.

How to Cancel a Quote/Policy
FROM AN EXSITING QUOTE/POLICY
- Located the main menu
- Select Quote/Policy
- Select the prduct of your choice. (ex: Homeowners)
- Find the reference number, name, or address of your Quote/Policy and select.
- Locate the "TRANSACTION INFO" panel on your left.
- Select a transaction type from dropdown menu. (ex: New/Renewal)
- Enter "Transaction Effective Date". (the date has to be between the Policy Effective Dast and Policy Expiration Date)
- Finish form.
- Select the "CONTINUE" button
- A message will display telling you that the Ouote/Policy was successfully canceled.

How to Set Policy to Non-Renewal
FROM THE HOME PAGE
- Located on the main menu
- Select Policy
- Select the Product of your choice. (ex: Homeowners)
- Click on Policy that you desire
- Locate your quote/policy
- Select "Renewal STATUS"
- In the Status dropdown menu select "NON-RENEWAL"
- Input Suspense Date (*Date has to be an infinite date. ex: 01-01-9999)
- Complete form
- Click the "INSERT" button
- Select the product name (ex: HOMEOWNERS) located on the main navigation
- Select "SUBMIT" located on the left navigation.
- Click the "SUBMIT" button located on the bottom of the form.

How to Change a Mortgagee for a Quote/Policy
FROM THE HOME PAGE
- Located on the main menu
- Select Quote/Policy
- Select the Product of your choice. (ex: Homeowners)
- Click on Quote/Policy that you desire
- Locate your quote/policy
- Select "TRANSACTION INFO" located on the left navigation.
- Step 1 of the Transaction Information; choose "NEW/RENEWAL" in the drop-down menu.
- Input "Transaction Effective Date" (*date has to be between the current policy effective date and policy expiration date)
- Input the information for the "CHANGE TYPE & DESCRIPTION"
- Select "CONTINUE" located at the bottom of the form
- Select "MORTGAGEE" located on the top main navigation.
- Select the desired mortgagee that you would like to change.
- Select the "INFO" panel located on the left navigation
- Click the "DELETE" button
- The message "Successfully Deleted Mortgagee" will appear above the information box.
- Click the "BROWSE" button
- The mortgagee that you deleted will appear in the browse box as "DELETED"
- Click the "NEW" button to create a new mortgagee
- After you have completed your mortgagee Select the product name (ex: HOMEOWNERS)
- Select the "SUBMIT" panel located on the left navigation
- Click the "SUBMIT" button located on the bottom of the form.
- Your changes to the Quote/Policy is complete

How to Change a Term of a Policy
FROM THE HOME PAGE
- Located on the main menu
- Select Policy
- Select the Product of your choice. (ex: Homeowners)
- Click on Policy that you desire
- Select the "TRANSACTION INFO" panel located on the left navigation.
- Specify Transaction Type. Select "Endorsement"
- Specify Transaction Date. Input policy effective date. ( the Policy Expiration date will automatically set)
- For the Change Type & Description under "Avalible Selections" select "Endorsments"
- Click the arrow that points right (->) to place selection in the "Current Selections" box.
- Under the "Description of Changes" specify reason for change (ex: Change of policy term)
- Click "CONTINUE"
- To finalize select the "Submit" panel located on the left navigation.
- Click "SUBMIT"

Checking the Status of a Policy

- Select the Product of your choice. (ex: Homeowners)
- Click on Policy that you desire
- Select the "TRANSACTION INFO" panel located on the left navigation.
- View the "Transaction Type" & "Change Type and Description" for the status

Coverage
Construction
- There are two construction options:
- Masonry - A dwelling of walls of masonry, or masonry veneered construction.
- Frame - A dwelling with walls of frame, metal-sheathed, stuccoed frame,
metal, metal lath and plaster, or if a building exceeds a 33 1/3% frame construction wall area.
Fire Protection
- There are three protection options:
- Protected - Dwellings located within five road miles of a responding fire department AND:
- Within 1,000 feet of a fire hydrant; OR
- Within 1,000 feet of a year-round water source of at least 3,500 gallons and the responding
fire department is equipped to respond with pumper truck capabilities; OR
- The responding fire department is equipped
to respond with pumper/tanker truck capabilities of at least 3,500 gallons; OR
- Partially Protected - Dwellings located within five road miles of a responding fire department but do not otherwise quality for the Protected classification are to be classified as Partially Protected.
- Unprotected - Dwellings that do not qualify for the Protected or Partially Protected classifications are to be classified as Unprotected.

Unacceptable Applicants
- Applicants who have been convicted of a crime of Blackmail, Burglary, Embezzlement, Extortion, False Pretenses, Forgery, Larceny. Malicious Destruction of Property, Robbery, or Theft
- Applicants or household members who have been convicted of, arrested for or charged with Arson, Fraud or other crimes related to an insurance claim
- Applicants that have filed for bankruptcy in the past 3 years
- Applicants that are currently in default on a mortgage
- Applicants who have filed more than one fire or other non-weather related claim in the past three years
Applicant Requirements
- Applicants must be the owner or mortgage holder of all covered Dwellings
Unacceptable Risks
- Rooming or Boarding Houses
- Mobile Homes (unless attached to a permanent foundation)
- Dwellings with wood burning stoves or stand alone space heaters
- Farm and Ranch Property
- Vacant or Unoccupied Dwellings
- Seasonal or Secondary Dwellings
- Town Homes/Apartments/Condominiums
- Dwellings that are for sale
- Dwellings that are a subject of foreclosure, litigation, or legal dispute
- Dwellings with more than 2 individual family units (triplex, etc.)
- Dwellings under the course of construction
- Risks used in the conduct of a business, including but not limited to child care or assisted living for compensation
- Columbia Lloyds Insurance Company does not write homeowner’s polices or liability coverage for risks that contain farm animals, exotic or unusual pets, ferocious or dangerous dogs or dog breeds (including but not limited to Chows, Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, Doberman Pinchers and their crosses), or any animal that has a previous history of biting or attacking
Restricted Counties
- All First Tier Counties are Restricted
In your role as agent for the company, it is your responsibility to evaluate each risk and place business that complies with the published guidelines. Any policies issued that do not meet the Guidelines, may result in a loss of coverage and will increase E&O exposure. It is the agent’s responsibility to review the risk prior to issuing this policy.
